Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG) 2010 Golf Tourney
Raising Money, Awareness for 'The First Tee'
ASHBURN, VA (November 30, 2009) - The Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG),
the trade association devoted to fostering strategic alliances in the insurance and financial
services marketplace, announced that the golf tournament at its 2010 annual meeting will
again benefit The First Tee.
The casual golf tournament will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010, at La Paloma
Canyon Course at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona, during the
ICMG annual meeting.
The First Tee aims to provide young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to
develop (through golf and character education) nine values: honesty, integrity,
sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.
ICMG president Anne Marie Faria, who is executive vice president of Health Plan
Services, Tampa, Florida, noted: "Many ICMG members are involved in company and
community efforts to give back to the community. Led by Richard Katz, vice president,
direct marketing and sales of American National Insurance Co., they created this effort to
support The First Tee. We're proud to do this charitable event for the second year in a
row."
Added Faria: "Young people learn character skills through The First Tee's efforts, and
those character skills are highly valuable throughout the business world. After all,
networking and business alliances are only possible because of people working together in
productive, mutually beneficial business relationships."
ICMG meeting registration is available online at www.icmg.org/annual_meeting or by
calling (703) 729-7701. More than 300 insurance marketing, product and distribution
decision-makers are expected to attend.
