Annual Meeting Supports The First Tee
Insurance Networking Meeting Raises Funds,
Highlights Character Development
ASHBURN, VA (January 17, 2011) - Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG), a non-profit organization that fosters business networking for insurance strategic alliances, will partner with The First Tee for the third consecutive year to help support the character-development mission of the youth organization.
During ICMG's 27th annual meeting Feb. 2-4, 2011, at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, Miami, ICMG will hold a fundraiser through a casual golf tournament and will highlight The First Tee from the main platform with a special presentation.
"The First Tee provides ICMG's members an opportunity to have direct impact on the lives and growth of our future citizens and leaders," noted Richard Katz, CLU, ChFC, vice president for direct marketing and sales at American National Insurance Co. and an ICMG volunteer.
The First Tee provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop (through golf and character education) nine values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.
"ICMG's membership is filled with businesspeople who strive to emphasize these core values in the business world and in the world at large," Katz continued. "Golf is a great teacher of sportsmanship and life's lessons. It’s the game where personal accountability to rules and values is the game's greatest legacy."

More than 300 insurance marketing, product and distribution decision makers are expected to attend. ICMG’s role is to help insurance decision makers make connections that increase distribution opportunities through strategic alliances. Examples of strategic alliances include distribution firms aligning with insurance product manufacturers, third-party administrators providing services to product manufacturers, and private-label products.
