Optional Dinner Groups

On the first day of the conference, Wednesday, February 10, ICMG is coordinating optional Dinner Groups for those who would like to be matched with a group of 8-10 others for dinner at a nearby restaurant. First-timers - and long-timers - are welcome to sign up. Email info@icmg.org to sign up in advance, or see the ICMG Registration Desk 12-2pm on Wednesday.

Participants will be matched up according to restaurant preference and group lists will be posted at ICMG Registration. Groups will meet in the Westin La Paloma Lobby at 7:30pm on Wednesday, February 10, to coordinate transportation to their restaurant (except Janos - that group can meet at the restaurant at 8). Individuals will be responsible for their own checks at the restaurant. Reservations will be made for 8pm under the name "ICMG" and all of the selected restaurants are located within 1.1 miles of the resort.

Restaurant Choices

Janos (Southwestern Cuisine)
Chef-owner Janos Wilder “lights up” this Foothills Southwestern by demonstrating in his “outside-the-box” cuisine “just how much better fresh, seasonal ingredients can make a dish” (they’re “pricey but worth it”). Located at the Westin La Paloma. www.janos.com (Zagat: Food 27, Decor 25, Service 26, Cost ~$68)

Grill at Hacienda del Sol (New American)
Offers “superb”, “expensive but worth-every-penny” New American fare with Southwestern flair in an elegant, historic Foothills resort; “a terrific wine list”, “professional service”, “marvelous views.” www.haciendadelsol.com (Zagat: Food 26, Decor 27, Service 25, Cost ~$56)

Sur Real (Pan-Latin)
Colorful and eclectic describe both the decor and the crowd at this midpriced arrival in the Foothills, with a something-for-everyone Pan-Latin menu that draws singles, couples, families and businesspeople in a huge space. http://surrealtucson.com/ (Zagat: not rated, entrees ~$25)

Flemings (Steakhouse)
This “inviting” chophouse chain purveys classic steaks and sides in relaxed, “clubby” digs; “low-profile” service and an “excellent wine-by-the-glass program” add to its allure, but since “everything’s à la carte”, be prepared for “high-end” tabs. www.flemingssteakhouse.com (Zagat: Food 25, Decor 23, Service 24, Cost ~$62)

NoRTH (Italian)
“Inspired” modern Italian dishes are the stars of this sleek, trendy Foothills restaurant with wonderful service and magnificent views of the Tucson city lights from the patio. www.foxrestaurantconcepts.com (Zagat: Food 21, Decor 22, Service 21, Cost ~$39)

Blanco Tacos & Tequila (Mexican)
“Creative Mexican” in the Foothills, deemed “hip, happening” and “high energy” with “beautiful modern” environs, “margaritas out of heaven” and “value” prices. "Preferred Seating" has been requested for the outdoor eating area for quieter conversation and “outstanding views.” www.foxrestaurantconcepts.com (Zagat: Food 17, Decor 19, Service 18, Cost ~$26)
