Applications are reviewed by our program committee, then submitted to the board of directors for final approval. Selection decisions for our annual conference will be made and candidates notified by mid-August.

The Selection Criteria 

• Is the topic relevant to ICMG attendees? Sessions should be forward thinking and innovative and focus on solutions beneficial for insurance carriers and marketing organizations.
• Does the presentation give the audience specific strategies, tips, or techniques that are actionable?
• Does the presenter provide specific examples of successes and challenges?
• Does the presenter have the appropriate background, knowledge, and experience to present the topic?

Considerations

• Provide as much detail as possible so the program committee fully understands the presentation / topic value for attendees and the intended target audience.
• Be sure to include information about past presentation experience, the successes relevant to your topic, and any other information helpful to the program committee.
• If selected to present, you will work with the session coordinator to confirm content and for rehearsals.

Ask Yourself

• If applying to be a speaker, why are you qualified to teach other people about this topic?
• Do you know the ICMG audience?
• How is your topic relevant, forward thinking, and innovative?
• What is the problem the industry is facing that your topic will solve?
• What will the takeaways (actionable things) be for the audience?
